A seminar was held on May 5, 2008, in Tokyo Japan, with a view to finding out all possible ways to outsource Software-Developments from Japan to Bangladesh. This seminar was co-hosted by JICA (Japan International Cooperaion Agency) and, was organized by Unico International ( A Japanese Consultant Company).
In this seminar, H.E. Mr. Ashraf-ud-Doula (Ambassador, Embassy of Bangladesh, Japan) and Mr. Seiichi Nagatsuka( Vice President of JICA) were kind enough to deliver their greeting speeches. This was followed by the expert from UNICO International, who presented his recent study on Bangladesh IT Industries. 250 IT companies were selected by the survey done by UNICO, and 18 from these 250 participated in this seminar. More than 160 guests from about 70 Japanese IT companies attended the seminar.
ITA who is one of the founding members of BIK Japan (Bangladesh IT association in Japan) conducted the seminar and explained the background of BIK Japan, it's motive how to overcome the language and the cultural barrier, and how to play the role of an effective Bridge between these two countries.
